Welcome back to the Teahouse! Today we will be gushing about Deadly Dreams by K. .J. Sutton! Tea of choice for this post is Green Passionfruit by David’s Tea.

Trigger Warnings – Rape, PTSD, Sexual Assault, and Kidnapping. K.J. has a complete list of everything at the start of the book so please see that before jumping in.
Now to get to the gushing. Be warned Spoilers ahead! This book guys, I can’t even express how much I enjoyed this book! It was awesome, amazing, I didn’t want to put it down at all. We follow Fortuna as she navigates ruling the Unseelie court after Collith was accidentally killed and then brought back to life. Collith has taken a leave of absence to recover. But unfortunately, Fortuna didn’t get that luxury/wouldn’t even think about taking time off to recover from her rape because she is a millennial and doesn’t know how to stop. How relatable Fortuna is is amazing and I love.
Basically we spend the majority of the book watching Fortuna try to handle everything herself and mostly fairly, especially in the mental health department. But she starts to open up to both her family, blooded and chosen, and Collith. She sees a therapist and begins to make progress in her journey to deal with the sexual assault she experienced towards the end of book two and continues failing in love with Collith.
Then the twat waffle known as Laurie, who I unfortunately thought was going to make a move to the good side and help out permanently. Decided at the ending of the book to go full Darth Vader and essentially kidnap Fortuna! After Fortuna found out that Collith now had the ability to be a nightmare.
Essentially you need to go read this series because it is amazing and worth all of the love and I can not wait for Beautiful Nightmares Which is currently scheduled to be released January 4th, 2022. Which seems so far away even though we are almost in November.
