Hello fellow Tea Enthusiasts and Bookworms. Today I am drinking Darjeeling, which is actually one of the first teas I ever tried and it is still one of my favorites. There is something just so calming about it to me. And as I sit here with 3 reviews to write I found that I need a little bit of calming.
The first book up is Fate of the Fallen by Kel Kade, it is the first book in the The Shroud of Prophecy series.

Let’s start with this, if you love buddy cop movies or just find them funny. This book is a buddy cop movie in book form and it was hilarious. You have Mathias, the prophesied hero and his “Brother in Everything” Aaslo who is a Forester by trade. Have been unknowing studying spells and how to save the world. However, when Mathias’s “Grandmother” suddenly forces Mathias to move, while also revealing his fate to both Mathais and Aaslo. Suddenly their world is turned upside down. Mathias leaves without a fight, knowing that Aaslo will follow him anywhere and help him fulfill his destiny.
Unfortunately Grandmother or High Sorceress, however you’d like to call her, does not end up being able to protect Mathias and thus the world is doomed into falling to the Dark Lord. Aaslo ends up chopping off Mathias’s head to take as proof to the king that the end of times in near. But what happens while Aaslo is traveling? The freaking head starts talking to him! And no one else can hear it, is Aaslo going crazy? Or did Mathias’s soul get stuck in his head before it was sealed by Grandmother dearest?
Aaslo makes it to the capital but it does not go as planned, Foresters are so reclusive, you know since their whole job is taking care of forests and planting new trees. He ends up being pulled this way and that by people of supposed great importance. He picks up various misfits along the way and continues on his quest to save the world.
This book was fantastic and hilarious. I can’t wait to continue the series!
Till next time my fellow readers,
Kaitlyn
