Review: All the Feels

How does one Blog, did anyone ever think that as they write a blog post? I do it almost every time, when I am writing, when it goes live, and when feedback starts coming back in on it. I feel like I tend to word vomit on the page, just whatever my brain wants me to say. And ultimately that won’t be for everyone, but I figure the longer I do it the better I will get at it.

With that random aside done, Hi, thanks for coming back. Today we have a review of All the Feels by Olivia Dade, and yes I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one. Lets dive in.

Another Camo by Maverick’s nose, this time going for the other succulent

All the Feels runs parallel to the story in Spoiler Alert. Except it follows Alex Woodroe (Cupid) and Lauren Clegg (Official person to keep Alex out of trouble). I don’t know if I was forced to pick between Marcus/April and Alex/Lauren if I could. I felt like we got to see more of the Alex/Marcus friendship in this one. But that could definitely be because Alex’s life is going slightly off the rails.

Alex is such a sweet cinnamon roll, he isn’t perfect but man does he try so hard and never views himself as being good enough. Lauren, is taking a break from work, when her cousin, who is just as big of a jerk as in the first book, ropes her into being Alex’s minder for the next several months.

They have to discover themselves, while dealing with real life problems like self-doubt, guilt, ADHD, Anxiety (Perceived, this wasn’t written on the page but I personally recognized it), Body-Image issues, and Self-worth. To name the main few, so if any of those may be triggering to you, proceed with caution. They are integral to the story, just like they play a major role in real peoples lives.

I love Olivia Dade’s writing and I really can’t speak highly enough of this series. If you enjoyed the Brown Sister books by Talia Hibbert definitely pick up Spoiler Alert and All the Feels to get similar vibes. So far it has been two hunky men with plus sized women, if she plans on doing a third book, which I can see there being one following Carah, who is one of the Actors on the TV show with Marcus and Alex. I hope if Dade does write a book following Carah, that we will get to see some Plus-size male representation. Because men also have body image issues! And it would be great to have an all inclusive story. I also could see Carah’s story going the LGBTQIA+ route though. I guess we will see!

Till I talk to you again,
Kaitlyn
