Hi all! I took a little break last week, since I was traveling for the Holidays (lots of quarantining by everyone involved). This last week of December is going to be mostly setting goals and such for the first 4 months of 2022. I have some high over arching goals for the year too which will also be a post this week.
5 Quarter 1 Goals:
1 Reading at least 4 Sci-Fi novels, here are a few Sci-Fi novels that are currently on my TBR are: Caliban’s War, Auxiliary Justice, Barbary Station, Lazarus War, and You Sexy Thing
2 Read mostly from my owned TBR. I have around 75 owned books that I haven’t read. I’m not counting my Husband’s collection of Clive Cussler books that I am slowly working my way through. I read mostly ebooks at the end of 2021, mostly from my library or Kindle Unlimited. So I would like to knock some books off that I own, while also continuing to use my library and KU.
3 Write a review for every book that I read. I started doing this in about September of 2021 and I really enjoy having that satisfaction of putting a bow on my reading experience essentially. Plus it helps other authors and consumers. I also want to get better at writing reviews in general, both critically as well as learning what pieces of information of readers are looking for.
4 Read 1 Non-fiction book, that isn’t about a serial killer. Last year I had a goal to read 1 Non-fiction a month. But I noticed that I leaned heavily into True Crime for my non-fiction reading. Which was not the goal of that goal. While I read mostly for escapism, which is why I read so much Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy Romance. I would also like to continue learning things.
