Hi! Sorry for being MIA lately, the new year has kicked my butt more than expected. It’s great how two weeks off feels, but getting back into the groove always takes the whole month of January it feels like.
Today I will be giving my review of The Best of Both Wolves by Terry Speas, which is book 2 in her Red Wolf series.
eARC provided by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review

The Best of Both Wolves follows Sierra and Adam, who we met in book 1. Sierra is the forensic artist for the police agency where Adam works. The book follows a hunt for a group of thieves that have it out for Sierra as well as Sierra and Adam’s love story.
Overall I found this book enjoyable, a quick easy read with an engaging story that makes you want to keep reading it. It wasn’t a book that is going to stick with me for a long time, but will I keep picking up the series? Yes.
Honestly, if you are looking to get into shifter romances but don’t know where to start. I would definitely recommend this series. You don’t get some of the weird aspects of shifter romances that you find in some books, not that there is anything wrong with those parts either. Every person has their own taste. But as an entry level shifter romance reader it can be intimidating.
For the most part the Best of Both Wolves is fade to black, but has the build to the falling in love. It does feel pretty instant, once they decide they want to date each other, but I felt the same way about book 1. Once you get the initial angst of the will they, won’t they. It’s instant love. So if that’s not for you proceed with a warning.
Bare with me while I get back into the groove of writing these reviews, my brain hasn’t excised this muscle in about a month.
Till next time Book Dragons,
Kaitlyn
