Hi All! Long time no see, work has been crazy so reading has taken a backburner. It’s starting to slow down again so I hope to have more frequent blog posts going up here going forward.
I recently received an eARC from Rebecca L. Garcia called Shadow Kissed, and below is my honest review! Hint go read it, 100% worth it!

So who else is excited that Vampires are making a comeback? Just me? Now I don’t miss the Twilight days at all, because looking back that is just cringe. But! I have been working my way slowly through JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. And let me tell you if you’ve finished that series and need a dose of vitamin V, I have just the book for you.
Shadow Kissed, follows Olivia who has recently lost her boyfriend and now the guild that her mother is a part of is on high alert. Why you ask? Vampires!
So the basics, great writing, formatting was awesome, plot 10/10, Olivia was not my favorite female lead but I like a confident female lead or at least one who finds her confidence quickly in the story. Sebastian!!! My morally grey vampire, he is snarky, always seems slightly confused by Olivia and brings 2 awesome best friends into the picture in Zach and Erianna. Erianna provides the strong female support that Olivia needs as she is going through the main plot of the book. While Zach provides back up to Sebastian, in the form of skepticism and too cool to be friends vibes.
Now on to slight Spoilery content, exit now if you want to go in spoiler free!
You all still here? Good good.
So Olivia is actually a vampire princess, and vampires can only have children with sorceresses, which her mom is. That makes the Sargon, the vampire king her father. Now Ravena (Olivia’s mom) took Olivia into hiding when she was just a baby because 1. someone tried to assassinate her and 2. Sargon decided he was going to force Olivia to be “Shadow Kissed” when she turned 21. Little bit of crazy parenting moments here between these two.
So if you want to read a book where the morally grey male lead wants to kill the king and put the secret princess on the throne, this is for you! Fun quick read with fantastic chemistry and some secret society’s trying to doom the world to chaos (basically) pick up Shadow Kissed by Rebecca l. Garcia now!
Till next time Book Dragons,
