Hi Ya’ll, I hope the holiday season is treating you well. I am “Toss a Coin to your Witcher” by Booksnleaf (on instagram) and it is so good! Today we are talking about The Beast, which is book 5 in the Wicked Villain series, spoiler it, it is definitely my favorite.
The Beast, follows Isabelle, Gaeton, and The Beast. Gaeton and The Beast had both been in separate relationships with Isabelle over the course of a year which at the end she was supposed to make a choice between the two of them. Obviously that didn’t happen.
At the beginning of the book, Isabelle’s father has passed away and so her older sister has become the new Crime Boss of their territory. However, both Beast and Gaeton leave their position as generals of the territory which causes Isabelle to be sent to bring them back.
Gaeton and Beast offer a deal with Isabelle, let them both “top” her at the same time and essentially do whatever they want for a month (? it’s been a few weeks since I read it and that timeline might be wrong). Isabelle agrees and they essentially find out that they work much better as a Thruple than as a Love Triangle that isn’t complete connected.
I loved this book, I actually think I enjoyed the growth in Beast and Gaeton’s relationship as they find their footing and work through why they are so competitive with each other. They also have to work through some issues that they have been carrying around since they became a part of Isabelle family’s territory. To see their growth was awesome and so enjoyable.
